Orbit Byte
๐ Orbit Byte
A retro pixel arcade adventure across tiny planets, dangerous bosses, power cards, hero powers and endless orbit runs.
Orbit Byte is an HTML5 retro-space arcade game where you control the Byte Ranger, a tiny robotic hero exploring unstable micro-planets invaded by strange space creatures.
Run across spherical planets, collect glowing orbs, grab special cores, avoid enemies, defeat bosses, unlock medals, buy cosmetics, and push your score as far as your reflexes allow.
๐ Story
The Orbit Chain is collapsing.
A group of rogue micro-planets has been infected by shapeshifting space invaders. Energy orbs are scattered across their surfaces, bosses are guarding unstable cores, and strange planetary anomalies are spreading from world to world.
You are the Byte Ranger, a small but brave robot explorer sent by Orbit HQ to stabilize the galaxy.
Your mission is simple:
Collect the orbs. Survive the planet. Defeat the bosses. Keep the orbit alive.

๐ฎ Game Modes
๐ Story Mode
A campaign-style adventure through a generated route of invaded planets.
Choose a campaign length and travel through the galaxy, clearing planets one by one. Every fifth planet contains a boss encounter. Story Mode includes route previews, campaign saving/loading and cinematic moments where Orbit HQ sends you into battle.
โพ๏ธ Arcade Run — Endless Orbit
The classic endless arcade mode.
Start from level 1 and keep clearing planets for as long as you can. Each planet increases the challenge. Bosses appear depending on the selected boss setting, and your run continues until you lose.
Arcade Run tracks:
- ๐ช maximum planet reached,
- โญ best score,
- ๐ best rank,
- ๐พ bosses defeated,
- ๐ฅ best combo,
- ๐ช coins earned.
๐งฌ Rogue Orbit
A roguelike-style mode with persistent memory.
You start with only one life. Each run begins again at level 1, but permanent upgrades can survive between attempts. During the run, you may find temporary cards and rare permanent improvements.
Permanent Rogue upgrades can include:
- โค๏ธ extra starting lives,
- ๐ก๏ธ permanent shield memory,
- โก faster boost recovery,
- ๐งฒ passive magnet effect,
- ๐ longer Hunter Mode,
- ๐ more special cores.
When you lose, the run resets, but your Rogue Orbit memory remains.
๐ Boss Rush
A focused challenge mode with five bosses in a row.
Boss Rush removes normal orb-clearing and puts the emphasis on boss cores, Hunter Mode and survival. Defeat five bosses, recover partial life between fights, earn extra coins and try to enter the Boss Rush ranking.
๐ Daily Challenge
A fixed daily route generated locally from the date.
Every day has its own challenge with the same planet route, events, bosses and upgrade card offers. The difficulty is fixed, the route is the same for that day, and your result is saved locally.
Complete daily challenges to earn coins and unlock daily medals.
๐ Training Moon
A short guided training mode.
Learn the basics:
- movement,
- jumping,
- boost,
- orb collection,
- radar,
- enemies,
- Hunter Mode.
Recommended for first-time players.
๐งช Practice Planet
A testing and practice mode.
Choose the planet, boss setting, event, hero, enemy, difficulty, control style, hero powers and active card. Practice Planet does not count for rankings, medals, coins or Codex unlocks.
Useful for learning planets, testing bosses and trying different heroes.
๐ Multiplayer Battle
A local multiplayer mode.
One player controls the Ranger while up to four other players can control invaders. The Ranger tries to clear the planet; the invaders try to stop them.
- ๐ค Ranger: keyboard, touch or gamepad 1.
- ๐พ Invaders: extra gamepads or keyboard layouts.
- ๐ Local play only.
๐น๏ธ Controls
The game supports keyboard, touch controls and gamepads.
๐ Vehicle / Tank Controls
The default classic arcade control style.

- โฌ๏ธ Down moves downward.
- โฌ ๏ธ Left moves left/west.
- โก๏ธ Right moves right/east.
You can choose your preferred style the first time you launch the game, and you can change it later in Options.

- โ planet cleared,
- โฑ๏ธ time,
